Sunday, the morning after their release I headed into the woods to check things out. Quinny as usual was eating! Didn't take him long to find the main feeding station.

I walked further and spotted one of the twins in a tree, so I started calling to him. Well all I heard was a bunch of woooo wups and churring, then a crashing noise through the bushes....

.....and the rest of the gang comes running out to see mom!! They came running so fast I didn't have time to get the camera pointed, LOL! But Mo, Tosser, Rollo and the other twin all came running and were joined by the twin who came down from the tree.

After cuddles, scratches and reassurances that it would be alright, they finally went of to play some more.

Monday I found one of the twins hanging in the same tree again so I ran to the house to get my camera because of course I forgot it! When I came back the food bucket was already being raided. But it wasn't Stinky or Nosey like I expected!

It was Red....and she proceeded to follow me on my rounds filling up the feeders.

Snagging a few treats here and there too!

We found Quinny hanging in the den box at the main feeding station. He wouldn't come out once he realized I had company in the form of a momma raccoon that just kept huffing and growling at him!

Mo was in another tree near the twins (Nosey) tree. They both came down and proceeded to follow me around....Mo was very vocal and really wanted some attention from me. Poor guy already has a nice gash on one of his front paws. I'll keep and eye on it, but it should heal up fine. He and Nosey were hanging out together following each other around. They popped back into the pen for some food then off they went again....

No sign of Rollo, To or Stinky this time but I'm sure I'll run into them eventually.

Tuesday it finally rained. I once again found Mo and Nosey hanging out in the same tree I originally found them in. Seems to be their "safe spot" out there. It's got a nice canopy of leaves too, so they were snuggled together on a branch keeping fairly dry.

The big boys go free!

The big boys out back were released on Saturday (sniff, sniff!). It was a beautiful day with good weather predicted and I was on my days off so the timing was finally right.

Quinny is the first to cross the threshold..

....followed by Tosser! Oh my little boy is out on his own now!!

Tosser has to convince Rollo to take the big first step. .....

...then up a tree he goes.

Rollo finally decides it looks like fun and takes the plunge! One of the twins also joined them out there, but the other twin and Mo could not be stirred from their hammock so I was not there when they finally decided to leave.

There were quite a few mothers hanging out at the main feeding station that took an interest in the commotion the boys were causing with their antics! These 2 moms watched from up in the branches.....not quite sure who they are, they were further away than it seems in the picture.

This girl looks a bit like Foxy though.....and was definitely tolerant of me even though she wouldn't come down to see me.

Ringer was up there too, but all the commotion wasn't going to interrupt her nap away from the kids....she's an old pro at this!

Right below Ringer, her sister Belle was chowing down, also not to be interrupted by it all!

Red was also out and about hanging with the "mom" pack.

By nightfall when I returned to check on them every one was out causing a ruckus in the woods!

First we have my wonderful lawn care crew!

What would a lawn be without the fertilizers......

Then there are the weed whackers....I have 2 of those and they do a wonderful job! Work great on dandelions!!

The excavators aren't very neat, but they are very quick at making big holes!


And of course the lawn mowers. Wonderful job they do and fast because there are lots of them!

Just a few of my other friends around the yard! Lots of great blue heron's on my pond. I found 6 of them roosting in the trees by the feeding station one night.

The little muskrats are just as busy as the beavers out in the water.

Plenty of snakes like to warm themselves on my driveway on nice sunny days.

The turkey's have made themselves right at home here now! Coffee break on the railing outside my kitchen window. (after fertilizing the lawn of course!)

I love it when all the turtles come up and start laying their eggs in my lawn! There are some pretty big snappers in that pond and their excavations are much bigger than the job the smaller painted turtles do.

And of course the geese. Believe it or not, they are not great fertilizers. Just an occasional visit with some of the kids! They assist with pest control more than anything.

Poopie joins Mary's menagerie!

Well I finally parted with Poopie the possum. She is great and growing like a weed. Now that she is eating on her own it was time for her to join some other possie's so I brought her to Mary's to join her clan of them.

Here are a few of her other charges..... Willie Whistle a very adorable groundhog baby in Mary's care.

Mary had a singleton that is bigger but just as mellow as her so we put them together. Here little Poopie comes out to visit the newcomer.

I talked to Mary and they are both doing fine together. Don't let her size fool ya....she may be smaller, but Mary tells me she definitely rules the roost and he just does what he is told! LOL
