What's up with Red's jowels?

Ran into Red the last couple nights and noticed she has very pronounced jowels suddenly. You know, like a male cat that hasn't been neutered and has those big chubby cheeks? She is acting fine otherwise...it's not painful...she enjoyed having them scratched.....she is eating fine and lets me open her mouth without any pain, and no swelling in any other lymph node areas...but I don't think it's her nodes. Sooooooooo I decided to make an appointment with the vet for today and planned on catching her last night...after all she's always out there! But NOOOOOOOOOOO....not on the night I WANT her to be out there. I gave up at 4am!!! Next time I see her I'll just bring her in for a check up.

The appointment will not be wasted however. Don't ask me how, but Rollo managed to get a hemoatoma in his ear! Probably won't do anything with it....putting a drain in it will be like putting a bullseye on his ear that says "Ooooooooo, pull and play with me and pull me out" to the other coonies! As long as it's not uncomfortable it will probably be best to leave it alone!

While out looking for Red had visits from Belle and the girls, Bella & Macy, Daisy, Fuzzball, Brownie and various other shy, but treat motivated kits! Hopefully Red will be out tonight!

Buster & Auntie Mary!

Buster insisted Auntie Mary pick him up!! He was not taking no for an answer either!

Awwwwww!

Now he's a happy boy.

Meanwhile.....Sugar was enjoying laps in the pool! She went back and forth about 4 times. She was actually swimming, not walking in the pool.....it's deeper than it looks, especially when I forget to take the hose out and it starts overflowing!

The boys out back.

Went out Wednesday night and I'm thrilled to report Screech & Popeye are doing great and hanging out together. You should have heard them playing around in the bushes before they came in to say hi! Definitely enjoying themselves.
Screech on the left, Popeye on the right & an older kit totally unfazed by all of us up on the platform!

They both look awesome with no new injuries, big full thick coats, and getting huge!!

The gang at Mary's is doing great. Weather permitting, we are planning on releasing them next Wednesday. (sniff, sniff) It's a love/hate thing! I love that they are going free, but I'm gonna miss them and worry terribly because I can't protect them from everything anymore. It's worse for me this year since they will not be in my own backyard either! I can't just walk out back and visit them anymore. But Mary is close enough I can swing over occasionally and she'll be there to keep an eye out.

All the boys having fun!

Well it's a group of bachelor's staying the winter this year and what fun they are having! Little Quinny continues to amaze me how well he has adapted to the big cage. He hasn't given me a single heart attack with a misstep or close call or fall yet! He figured out how to get around and go between sections of the cage faster than any of them ever did. And don't piss him off either! He makes the biggest of them back down when he wants!
Here are all the little maniacs enjoying a pleasant afternoon the other day!
