The Girls!

The girls (and Moose) are just on cuteness overload duty these days!! They are so very adorable and they know it! Of course Pip knows she's mom's number one cutie pie and wastes no time taking advantage of that! Kinky, Moose and May want to know what Pip is so excited about.
Merry and Dolci finally pop their heads out to see what all the fuss is about. Food? Is there more food coming?
Awww rats...it's just Mom!
Kinky came over to show off her newly injured hand. It happened the other night when Trouble #1 & Trouble #2 came by for one of their usual evening torments! It's bugging her enough not to use it, but it will heal up in time. Looks like she got it caught between something maybe?
May in all her cuteness!

And her sister Amy lounging comfortably nearby. I love it when they lounge with their legs sprawled over the edge of whatever they are sitting on!
Kinky joins Amy.
My lil' Pip! God she's the sweetest thing! (not that I'm partial or anything! hehe)
Here she joins her sister Merry who decided to come out and play despite the fact that I wasn't feeding them this time.
One beautiful smile from Merry (or maybe it's more like "Maaaaa...she won't leave me alone!)
Stormy and Moose preferred to stay holed up in the den box. No food, no fun! It was also a little cool and windy out too, so I can't say I blame them! They aren't really a mamma's boy and girl like the rest of them are anyway.
OK so I guess I'll say it one more time....are they not the cutest things ever!!

Holy Blizzard Batman!

The only living creatures I know of that actually enjoyed the Nor-Easter/blizzard we just got SLAMMED with are these two crazy nuts!!! LOL
Bernard especially enjoyed it, bounding around like a deer in 2 feet of snow, then burrowing under it! I have to say I'm surprised.....considering he is a southern rescue. This was his second snow fall and he is delighted! They stayed out and played in it while I went and dug out the pens and I nearly had to drag him back inside he loved it so much. My other southern rescue, Marley the 3 legged pit, wanted absolutely nothing to do with it! I'm with him on that one!The pens were buried, LB and the boys never even poked their heads out while I dug out the door to their pen. The rest of the gang, on the other hand, were a little braver.

Nothing stops the 3 little piggy's from asking for a meal! They came right out and finally convinced a couple of the older ones to join them.

They got some fruit to snack on....even that didn't convince the smarter ones to come out into the crappy weather.....then we all returned to our respective dens to hole up for the remainder of the storm!

This is by far the most interesting position I have seen for eating a plumb. That's one way to enjoy your lunch out of the elements! (sort of)

Kinky digs right in. Scrappy was the only other one that bothered to come out. The rest waited for me to toss the fruit in to them in the indoor section of the pen.
The snow has finally stopped, but the wind hasn't. I have to break a new path each time I go out there....within a half hour of my passing, it's all filled in again! Considering it's above my knees, it's very frustrating .....and exhausting!!

May, Moose & Amy are growing like weeds!

The 3 youngest kids are doing awesome! I'm hoping on my next day off to try to mix them in with the older gang. Hopefully little May won't hurt any of them! LOL
Amy in particular enjoys tummy tickles from Mom.

I love this one! Moose has the longer reach...he just kind of holds Amy back by her head while she keeps trying to get her paws on him!

They are all just so cute I could take pics all day watching them play.

Enough already! Damn paparazzi! Gimme that thing! hehe

*SIGH*- Vin has company.

I jinxed myself! The injured beach boy I talked about at the release site is back! I had spread Phillip's ashes out there with the gang so he could be free with them....silly I know but I hoped he would keep an eye on them with a little divine assistance maybe? No such luck...LOL. (or maybe just the luck Tash needed it would turn out!)

I set up the coon cam out there and there is plenty of activity. The gang is still hanging out together and until now Tashmoo was keeping up despite the fact that he is obviously still not using his back leg. If it was as simple as the bite wound he should not be limping around like this anymore!

He was injured over 3 weeks ago and at the very least should be bearing weight a little! Luckily with the camera I am able to see he is still getting along great, eating well and in good body condition. He's there with the gang every night so that's good. There is no way we'd be able to trap him with all those guys running around out there! Concerned but not terribly worried.....hes adapting and doing well.

Then Laurie checks the site Friday. He scared the crap out of her when she opened the den box and he's in there huffing away at her! (LOL...see I'm not the only one getting the crap scared outta me!)

Soooooo.....I head over after work and as I expected it was Tash. He still loves mom luckily so I was able to get him into a carrier and bring him home.

Vin was so excited when I arrived......until he realized I brought company and not a treat that is! LOL

They are both familiar with each other so they are able to be together. Vin was perfectly fine coming right down to say Hi....Tash a little less welcoming but tolerant just the same. They won't exactly be cuddling in the same den box together, but have no problem hanging out in the same pen together.

Tash was very happy to be safe and comfortable back home and definitely in need of some help from mom.

Until we are able to get an x-ray and a good look, I can't even begin to speculate, but the leg is very swollen and painful to the touch and although he can move it somewhat, he's not using it at all. He did manage to get into the hammock and make himself comfortable though!

Right now he's eating well and BAR (bright, alert, responsive) which is a very good sign. Whatever is wrong it's not making him sick at this point, just impairing his ability to function properly like climbing and escaping danger! A sitting duck on borrowed time if left out there on his own.

May, Amy and Moose are doing great....the 3 little pigs are eating all their food and growing like weeds.
As for the rest of the gang at the release site.....one is a little gimpy out there but not to the extent of Tashmoo. The gang is still hanging out together and doing well. Here is my sweetie Michelle (far left) looking great! She's the easiest to tell with that little snub nose of hers! Reminds me of my Dandy girl!

Kidnapping coonies!

This past Tuesday I went over Laurie's and stole the 3 younger babies! LOL.
OK....really it was planned....they are weaned and ready for a small outdoor cage near the others so they can get used to each other. So I closed off the little outdoor section from the big kids. They were not thrilled about it! When I showed up with the babies this is what happens! LOL...they all squish into the entrance at once!Enter May, Amy and Moose!

They wasted no time climbing around checking the place out.

I gotta tell ya, it's so weird having such small babies this time of year!

Amy is the smallest girl but has the biggest attitude! Holy cow! Here's a perfect example....her body language says it all!
The encounter....she discovers strangers, the huffing starts and the ears (big indicator!)go down.

The threat.....her ears go flat, she lowers her head and begins posturing and snarling a little.

I mean business....she launches herself toward them snarling and nipping...showing no fear whatsoever I might add...just dives in! It's a good thing the wire was there.....for the big kids sake! Ha!

Then there is Moose......Oh hey there...whatcha doin'? Hehe....TOTALLY un-phased by it all! His ears never even twitched.

Then lots of play getting used to the new surroundings!

...meanwhile.......still squished in the doorway! LOL

They are doing awesome out there. The weather has been unseasonably warm so it was the perfect week for them to adjust to it. It will give them a little time to enjoy the pool before it gets to cold to keep one out there!
