A red fox & miscellaneous meanderings.

The welcome wagon. Here one of MANY chippy's living here joins my welcome statue waiting to greet any visitors!
Luckily Diesel's gang is released. We had a pretty windy couple of days and a large tree snapped like a twig. 360 degrees to fall in and it of course goes right for the release pen...marked by the arrow. The upper branches are wedged on another tree preventing it from going all the way down....for now.......

Ran into Mo again Monday night. Only had the cell phone camera, thus the poor picture quality....but it was great to see him! He looks great. He's pretty skittish....he'll come in while I'm there but won't come near me and will take off if I don't keep a certain distance from him. I'll have to suffice to be allowed in his presence! LOL

Another surprise at the feeding station that was originally for the skunks but has become a great place to see everyone else! This time it's a red fox. Too bad the coonies already polished off all the food!

Baloo and the gang at the final release site.

I finally remembered my camera for one of my daily visits to the final release pen! It took some convincing to rouse them....and they weren't that thrilled about it at first!

But once the chicken legs came out....suddenly everyone wanted out of the den box!

Rosie's not very fond of chicken wings...so she just settled for some lovin!
"I wuvs u sooo much mommy!"

The rest of the gang dove right into the legs!

I had a tug of war with Baloo...turns out she was hoarding them in the box..there were about 5 right there in front of her so I had to snatch some away from her to share with the others...little piggy!!

RJ hanging out.

Piggy Baloo kept trying to steal all the legs! Look at that little sneak oh so nonchalantly work a hand in there and try to take Scootch's chicken! No worries though...Scootch was having none of that and made it clear to Baloo....hand off my chicken!!

Cute little Flipper drags hers into the den box away from those other scavengers!

Everyone finally settled down with their own chicken and I snuck outta there....
Also paid a late night visit out back on my property a couple nights ago and was thrilled to run into my little Mo!! He's a little shy, but stuck around for a treat and he looks great!

The first wild kits sighting.

Another day checking the feeders, another pleasant surprise! Spotted 2 kits hanging out in the tree by the main feeding station.
Mom wasn't far though! In the box right below them keeping an eye on things. I think it's Brownie but I'm not sure. She's one of Ringer and Belles sisters and didn't have an issue with Belle who was eating on the platform right below her.

Mom keeps checking in on the kits.

While Tosser and Quinny also make an appearance. Everyone got along fine...the boys didn't bother mom and the kits and mom just kept her eye on things but pretty much knew the boys were no threat. Tosser was too busy following me around anyway!

And Quinny seemed to have his hands full trying to get down this huge tree to bother with anyone!

Mohican was also out there. He wouldn't come down to say hi to mom, but he was getting along fine up there and climbing well despite the cut on his hand.

Mohawks, hairclips & hammocks.

With the exception of Mohican, all the older boys are sporting mohawks. Which is kind of funny because the whole reason Mohican was named Mo was due to the mohawk he had when he came in as a baby.....long fur sticking straight up along his back. Oh the irony!
The rest of the gang have nappy, hairless butts on both sides while still holding on to a streak of fur up the spine! It ain't pretty!! LOL
A sneak attack from above as Tosser manages to sneak onto my head and proceed to chomp on my hair clip......he enjoyed it thoroughly and luckily I have more! It didn't stand a chance!

Winter took it's toll on the hammocks out there. With the nice weather I finally replaced one of them! You would think I brought them to Disney World! The antics started immediately on top of the hammock.....

...and one by one they learned about getting inside the hammock, wrestling between the layers...... (They are burlap bags.)

....until they all ended up inside!

Anyone not already in there was ambushed when they walked by!! Look at the grip one of the twins has on poor Rollo! Ouch!

Irish raccoons?

These were taken on St. Patty's day, so maybe this is Rollo's version of a jig???
Toto lounges in the 65 degree weather!!

Let's see how good your teeth look Quinny!

Mo loving his visits with mom......

How beautiful is he!!! He's got distinctive eyebrows...

Spring is definitely near....their coats are getting all crappy again....the moulting has begun with bare spots and fur clumps coming out.

Playtime with Quinny.

Quinny is doing great! He's up to 826 grams and had his first walk outside yesterday. He wasn't thrilled, but he'll get used to it. He's out of quarantine also so I brought him in to see the little kids, Tosser and Mo. Mo couldn't be bothered and Toto peed himself! ha ha He's so brave!

Here he is exploring while I set up a bigger cage for him.

More fun!

Just some various pics of the gang again. Look how much they have grown! Here's a perfect example of the size range. We have the smallest guy Tosser in front followed by Seeker, one of the biggest boys!

Another group wrestle in the hammock.

Mohican rolls his eyes at mom agin....taking more pics as usual!

Teddy hanging out.

Growler gets chewed on by Buster and kissed by Tosser.

My little Toto....Tosser in all his cuteness.

Seeker decides to pose for "Playcoon". What a sexy beast!

Seeker being a wiseguy as he plows over Buster to try to get to the bottle, then tries to take it from Tosser while he eats!

Buster wants to take up the flute so he's practicing hard here!

Buster and Seeker wrestle it out over a bottle they will never get!

Would you trust that face??? Seeker is definitely up to no good, the little devil!

Growler tries out her sexy pose for "Playcoon".

The little kids chow down before the big kids invade. Tosser and Mohican in the middle and Nosey and Stinky are the bookends.

My cuties Toto and Momo! (My pet names for Tosser and Mohican)

As you can see they are all just as cute as ever and loving life! Tosser and Mo are going to have to possibly winter over because they are so small. I'm not sure if they will catch up to the rest of the gang when it comes to packing on the weight in time. But since the new guy will probably have to stay and will need company, it will be the perfect situation for them all.
