NEW ARC

North East Wildlife Animal Rehabilitation Coalition is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization. We are a group of licensed wildlife rehabilitators, and these are the tales of the injured and orphaned animals we care for until they are able to be released back into the wild.

My, how time has flown by!

It's been crazy around here and it's been way too long since I have been able to sit and post on here! (But I think these pics will make up for that! ;)  ) Lots of changes for the gang. 31 of them have been  outside and are enjoying their new outdoor digs! There are a few younger ones still inside. It is yet to be decided if any will need to overwinter yet. Some of Laurie's gang will be heading over here soon also, so a full house is about to get fuller!

That is one of the main differences with rehabbing raccoons.....there is no quick turnover with them like with the squirrels and other mammals. Once we get them, they are usually here until the fall. Occasionally we get some older babies that are able to be released around August, but not usually.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy.....these fur balls are at that stage where it's all about the fun!!!!
