The overwinters get released....FINALLY!

Later than planned after delays for many reasons, the overwinters have finally been released! Laurie and I dragged them through some woods...

......across a very large meadow....(those tiny round looking pines just in front of the large trees at the edge of the woods are taller than us to give you an idea how large the area is!)

....and into the woods....

.....where at last! Freedom! McFly and Henry took off into the woods...no hanging around for them, although we did hear them chattering to the gang occasionally. Roxy poked around nearby briefly then was gone, perhaps responding to her brothers. Tavi, Annie, Natty, Muffin, Digger and Munchkin stayed close by to explore the den boxes and feeding area.

As usual, no words are needed to tell you how much they were loving it!

Tavi was less than thrilled to begin with and wouldn't leave the carrier. Natty finally came over to give her some encouragement, and though she was hesitant to completely let go of that carrier....she finally did with no regrets! :)

At last the hideous mosquitoes and horse flies drove us off! Good luck gang!
