Deja vu!

Just like a couple weeks ago...4 baby skunks have arrived. Mom was found hit by a car in Belmont and John to the rescue again! He managed to trap the little buggars despite their best attempts to  elude him! None the worse for wear, they are doing well and eagerly eating out of bowls and are full of attitude like the first group! But they are still damn cute!

Speaking of skunk attitude! The first group are loving it outside. Despite the fact that I bring them lots of yummy things to eat, all I ever get is the tall tail salute! One of them even had the nerve to stomp and charge at the camera when I was taking pictures! (thus the close up shot!) Not fans of the paparazzi to say the least.

Luckily the new crew is about the same size as the first. I only have the one outdoor pen for little stinkers so, after a quarantine inside, I should be able to put them outside together.

  2. Oh poor Cooper!!(and poor anyone that had to be near Cooper after wards! LOL)Luckily these guys are used to me enough to not have itchy trigger butts! Although I have to admit, letting my dogs out these days is not as simple as opening the door anymore. I have to go out first and Announce them to audience so to speak.....give the squirrels & chippy's a chance to run off, the turkey a chance to move farther away and any waiting skunks or coonies time to move off so we don't end up with any "surprises" either! Though my dogs wouldn't hurt them, they think it would be oh so much fun to play with new friends! LOL Disaster in the making for sure...
