Michelle in all her cuteness!

Phillip's sister and the 7 other babies he was with....Kinky, Tash, Katama, Chappy, Squibby, Merry and Pip all continue to do well. Gross autopsy results show no significant findings...meaning all the organs appear normal. The rabies test is back and negative so we are waiting on any results on tests sent out...including distemper. Should be anytime now!

In the meantime...Michelle got a little walk outside today! She wasn't eager to leave my lap....

It was a short walk! When she hit the ground, all she did was cry and search for mom.....

....and run right back to me!

.....wasting no time climbing right back up my leg to the safety of my arms....

You are NOT putting me back down there again....right???

She's such a cutie pie!

The baby cardinals are keeping dad busy. There were 2 at the feeder today...one pretty much took care of himself while the other kept demanding dad to feed him!

Which he did...over and over again! Better than a lot of human dad's out there! LOL

  1. AWWWWWW - now THAT'S cuteness overload! I would have such a hard time releasing her back into the wild - I'd want to sleep with her every night, LOL.

  2. Awww, she's adorable. I'm glad that all babies are fine.

I've been trying to do more readings on raccoons's natural habitat, their behaviour, etc. I learned that raccoons engage in gender-specific social behaviours. How soon do male raccoons part their mother? Is it true that they are no longer welcomed back once they reach adulthood?

  3. Aww, my namesake coonie is so sweet and adorable! She's even uncertain about the great outdoors. But hopefully she figures out all the cool things about being outside!

  4. It is tough releasing them back out there! You would think with so many or after so many times doing it it would be easy....but it never gets easier! And if they weren't so active at night I probably would have them all snuggling in bed with me...but I need all the sleep I can get! LOL

Michelle....your namesake really is absolutely the sweetest thing! It won't be long before she doesn't want to go INside again! LOL
